Forgetting To Do Wudu For Salah

QA-ID-0082

QUESTION

If I forget to make wudu before any salah, and realise it after a certain time, what shall I do then?

If there is still time for that particular salah, do I need to perform that salah?

ANSWER

If you forgot to do wudū’ for a particular salāh, then you have to repeat the salāh even if the time for that salāh has passed, as salāh without wudū’ is invalid.

If the time of the salāh is still remaining when you remember, then it is necessary to do wudū’ and repeat the salāh within the time.
