﷽
To Muslim women:
Preparing ifṭār and suḥūr for your family so that they are able to fast comfortably throughout the month of Ramaḍān is itself an act of worship (ʿibādah) when done with sincerity. You are immensely rewarded for it and you receive a share of the reward of their fasting.
Do not think that you are being deprived of other forms of worship because some of your time is spent on food preparation. Rather, this very act is itself rewarding. In Ramaḍān, every righteous action is multiplied in reward. When something as ordinary as feeding others becomes an act of devotion, then the hours spent preparing food are not lost at all. They are transformed into immense reward for you.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا
